Car Photography

Bakersfield Headturners is a local chapter of the nationwide Headturners Car Club. The group is based around a shared love for the automotive hobby, and each member has a unique build that reflects their own personal style. Whether the build is for performance, show quality, or a mixture of the two, this crew has the best of the best.

In 2021 I worked with group admins to organize a "crew shoot." We used this as a chance to highlight the club and produce images for event fliers. With a combination of beautiful cars, a great location, and a spoonful of luck, we were able to make these breathtaking compositions.

When I first began shooting cars, I created an Instagram profile called "Bakersfield Car Culture." I used it as a medium to promote local car clubs and public events. I did individual photoshoots with car owners and interviewed them about their passion for the automotive world. I deactivated the page after moving away from the area.

The Lancer Evolution, or Evo, is a timeless beast of a car. Its classic Japanese design and impressive power capability has given it a place in the hearts of many as a dream car. This specific Evo has been fitted with many performance and cosmetic modifications, one of which being widebody fenders and wheel setup.

This car is intended for rally-type use and abuse. The location for this shoot was a top-secret local driving road.

Buttonwillow Raceway is home to one of the most famous road-race tracks in the US. Having grown up in Bakersfield, CA, this racetrack is practically in my backyard. When I'm not driving or watching friends crash their cars, I spend my time there with the biggest lens I can find getting photos of cars on the track.
